Your Government

The Town of Foxfield is a Statutory Town, incorporated under the laws of Colorado in 1994.

Foxfield is governed by a Board of Trustees, consisting of the Mayor, one Trustee from each of the three wards and three Trustees-at-Large.  The term of office is four years, with staggered terms.  There are no term limits.

The Town Clerk/Treasurer and Town Attorney are appointed by the Board of Trustees every two years, following the election.

Board of Trustees Vacancy Filled

At the Board of Trustees meeting on August 4, 2016, the Board unanimously chose Josie Cockrell to fill the Ward 1 vacancy.  Josie will serve the remainder of the term, until the next election in April 2018.

Josie and her husband, Nathaniel, have lived in Foxfield since 2014 but she has been coming to Foxfield her entire life.  Her grandparents (William and Hilda Frost) built their house on East Easter Court in 1968, 26 years prior to the incorporation of the Town.

Josie received a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.  She also earned an M.A. in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from the University of Denver.  She has worked as an environmental engineer and a science teacher.

With a long history of community service and volunteering with various non-profit groups, Josie will bring that experience and passion to the Board of Trustees in the Town of Foxfield.

The Board welcomes Josie as the newest trustee and invites you to  come to a meeting and get to know her.  Her term will begin on September 15.
